My birthday is January 26th. Usually, I take the day off and go do something with friends. But this year I thought it might be fun to start a new birthday tradition.
One of my favorite things to do is give back to my community, and one of my favorite non-profits is the Maslow Project, (www.maslowproject.org). They assist homeless children and youth in Southern Oregon - many of them in our Applegate Valley. So I've come up with a win-win fundraiser. You get a great deal on a night out with family and friends, and the Maslow Project gets some much-needed January funding.
Here's how it will work:
We'll be offering $25 gift certificates for $5 off, AND we'll send $5 for each gift certificate sold to the Maslow Project, (asking them to spend it on kids in our valley). As of today, we also have a local sponsor who has agreed to match all of the money we donate. If you would also like to become a sponsor, please give me a call. The more sponsors, the more funds we'll raise.
The gift certificates have to be picked up on January 26th, from noon to 9PM, but they are valid for a whole year. If you don't pick them up, we will be donating them to the Maslow Project.
To put it another way, you save 20% on your food at the ACC, and we, (with the help of our sponsor), will donate 40% to the Maslow Project. You're can order as many gift certificates as you'd like. Simply register for this event, and we'll send you an email asking the number of certificates you'd like to order. We'll then have them ready for you for pick up on the 26th.
We are open from noon to 9PM, but if you come by for dinner on the 26th, we've got free birthday cake for dessert.
I'm hoping you come out - it's way more fun to have you here!
